The first 8 slides have picture models on them to help students visualize mixed numbers and improper fractions (they must write a mixed number and improper fractions for each picture). Students then convert mixed numbers to improper fractions and improper fractions to mixed numbers for slides 9-24 without picture models. The last 8 slides require students to add and subtract mixed numbers with LIKE denominators and write their answers in simplest form. Students type their answers directly on the Google Slides™ in the provided text boxes.

A bonus 6-question Google Forms™ quiz is also included. The assessment is a quick and easy way to check for understanding after students complete the task cards.
